Help and FAQs

How Revisio works for students, parents and teachers. Can't find your answer? Email hello@revisio.uk.

    Getting started

    Who is Revisio for?

Revisio is for UK students aged 14–16 preparing for GCSE Maths, English Language and English Literature with AQA, Edexcel, OCR or WJEC Eduqas. You need to be 13 or over to create an account, and if you're under 18 a parent or guardian should know you're using it.

    How do I start?

Create a free account, choose your subjects and exam boards, then take the short diagnostic for each subject. Revisio uses your results to work out which topics to put first in your study plan.

How accurate is the AI marking?

Like any marker, the AI can occasionally get a mark wrong, so treat the mark and grade estimate as a strong guide rather than a final grade.

How does Revisio keep its AI marking in line with exam board standards?

On mock exams, long English answers are marked against a levels grid for that board, paper and question type. The grids are built from the board's published mark schemes and written in our own words.

A 40-mark AQA writing task, for example, is marked on separate grids for AO5 (out of 24) and AO6 (out of 16). The level is then worked out from the mark, so the two always agree.

Maths and shorter answers are marked against the mark scheme written for that question. Long answers outside mock exams, and any question without a matching grid, use a simpler general marking guide.

All AI marking uses the same model, and we don't change it without testing. Revisio isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the exam boards.

Who can see my Mylo chats?

A parent or guardian linked to your account can read your full Mylo conversations. If no parent is linked, no parent can. Chats are still saved, and Revisio may review them if there is a safeguarding concern. Teachers can see that you used Mylo, on which topic and when, but never what was said.

    Trials and billing

What does the free trial include?

Every student gets 14 days of Circle, our full plan, with no card needed. Nothing is charged when the trial ends.

What happens when the trial ends?

You keep your account, your progress and the revision content. AI features, the adaptive plan and mock exams stop until a parent, a guardian or you start a plan.

    How much does it cost?

Society is £9.99 a month, or £7.99 a month on the annual plan. Circle is £16.99 a month, or £13.59 a month on the annual plan. Annual plans are still billed monthly, at the lower rate.

    Compare plans
    How does a parent pay?

From the trial banner, the student chooses to ask a parent and enters the parent's email, then hands over the device for the secure Stripe payment page. Once payment is made, we email the parent their own login so they can manage the subscription.

Can a student pay for themselves?

Yes, with a debit card in their own name, as long as a parent or guardian knows. No parent account is created, so nobody else can read their Mylo chats, and the student manages the plan from Settings.

If a student under 18 paid with their own card, a parent can ask us within 30 days of a payment to cancel and refund that payment in full.

    Read the refund terms
    How do I cancel?

Whoever pays can cancel at any time: a parent from their Revisio account, a student from Settings, or either by emailing hello@revisio.uk. Cancelling stops future renewals, and access carries on until the end of the period already paid for.

The payment page is blank or won't load. What should I do?

Payments are handled by Stripe, and some antivirus software (notably Kaspersky) and ad-blockers block it. Pause the antivirus or ad-blocker, or allow stripe.com in its settings, then refresh the page. Card details are always entered on Stripe, never on Revisio.

    School codes

How do I use a school code?

Sign up at revisio.uk/signup, then go to the pricing page, find "Got a school code?" and enter the code your teacher gave you. You'll see your school's name and the date your access runs until. There is nothing to pay.

    Go to the pricing page
My code isn't working. What should I do?

Check each character first: codes never contain the letters O, I or L, or the digits 0 or 1. If the message says the code has expired, been withdrawn or been used up, or that your school has no places left, ask your teacher, who can give you a new one or contact us.

What does a school code give me?

Full Circle-level access to Revisio for as long as your school's access lasts, including unlimited AI help and four mock exams a month.

    What can my teacher see?

Your name, year group and target grade, when you were last active, your study streak, your scores, your lesson, mock and diagnostic results, and the topics lined up for you to review. Teachers can't see your email address or the words of your Mylo conversations.

    What a teacher can see

    Mock exams

    Are these real past papers?

No. They are practice papers written for Revisio in the style and structure of each board's exams. They cover Maths at Foundation and Higher, English Language and English Literature for AQA, Edexcel, OCR and WJEC Eduqas.

How many mock exams can I sit?

Society includes 1 mock exam a month. Circle, the free trial and school access include 4. The count resets on your billing date, or after 30 days if you haven't been billed.

    How do mock exams work?

Each paper has a time limit, and the countdown starts when you click begin. You can flag questions and move freely between them. When time runs out, your answers are submitted automatically.

    How are mocks marked?

Your answers are marked by AI when you finish. You then get your mark, a grade estimate and a breakdown by topic. The grade is an estimate from one paper, not a prediction of your final result.

    For parents and guardians

What can I see as a parent?

When you pay for your child's plan, your account is linked to theirs. You can read their Mylo conversations in full and manage the subscription. Your account doesn't currently show their scores or progress.

Does my child know I can read their chats?

Yes. Mylo tells each student who can see their conversations, so a child with a linked parent always knows.

I'm worried about my child's wellbeing. Who do I contact?

If a child is at immediate risk, contact the police on 999 or the NSPCC on 0808 800 5000. For a concern about anything on Revisio, email safeguarding@revisio.uk.

    For teachers and schools

Can we try Revisio with a class?

Yes. We offer a free four-week evaluation for one class of up to 35 students, with no payment details needed. Email schools@revisio.uk with a teacher's name and email address and we'll set it up. Student access ends on the evaluation's end date unless the school decides to continue.

    How do teachers sign in?

We email the lead teacher a one-time sign-in link. You then set up two-step verification with an authenticator app, which protects student data, and you can set a password for next time.

    How do students join?

Your school's page shows a join code to give to the class. Each student creates their own account and enters the code. You can issue new codes and add colleagues from the same page.

What does it cost for a whole school?

The Council plan starts at £6.99 a seat a month, with volume discounts from £4.99. We can invoice on 30-day terms and accept purchase orders. Email schools@revisio.uk for a quote.

    Your account

    I've forgotten my password.

Use the password reset page and we'll email you a link to choose a new one.

    Reset your password
How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings and choose Delete account. Access stops immediately, any subscription you pay for won't renew, and your account and data are permanently erased within 30 days. If a parent deletes their account, their child keeps access until the end of the period already paid for.

    How do I contact you?

Email hello@revisio.uk for anything general, schools@revisio.uk for school enquiries, privacy@revisio.uk for data questions and safeguarding@revisio.uk for safeguarding concerns.
